Gengaku is a very outwardly serious and stoic fellow, and tends to watch situations from a far, rather than getting involved. He and his sister do not get along often, merely because of their opposing natures. But when they do come together as a family, they often eat spicy food together, and engage in contests to see who can eat the spiciest without shedding a tear. Gen always wins. Although he rarely shows emotions outwardly, other than annoyance, he is soft on the inside, and cares deeply about his sister and his close friends. Because of this he has been deemed as a "Kuudere" type character.
